50 g / 100 yrds / 91 m of Worsted Weight Yarn 

Wraps Per Inch: 9 - 11 

Sample knitted in Loops and Threads Soft Classic Solid Yarn

Recommended Needles & Notions

US Size 7 / 4.5 mm circular needle with 16 in / 40 cm cable for brim and body and

US Size 5 / 3.75 mm circular needle with 16 in / 40 cm cable for round 6

Ruler or tape Measure, one beginning round marker (BOR),  several locking stitch markers, scissors, darning needle, optional US 7 Double Pointed Needles (DPNs) for crown shaping. 


Gauge

19 stitches x 28 rounds = 4 in / 10 cm in Stockinette Stitch using US Size 7 / 4.5 mm blocked 

18 stitches x 32 rounds = 4 in / 10 cm in 1x1 Ribbed Pattern using US Size 7 / 4.5 mm blocked

Adjust needle size to obtain gauge.


Sizing

Small (Medium, Large). This pattern is created to have about 4 (2, 5) in negative ease for a snug fit.
